Organic Soothing Nose & Paw Balm
$25.00
Cracked paws or nose? Small graze or dry skin? This balm is for you! …Well, your dog!
Paw health is often overlooked, and many people mistakenly think that issues are just a normal result of walking on hard surfaces. However, cracked paws and noses can leave your dog vulnerable to infections, as the dry, cracked skin provides a direct pathway for bacteria to enter the body. Applying balm as needed helps to soothe and heal the skin, ensuring your dog’s paws and nose stay healthy.

- Remove some product from the tin and warm it up in the palm of your hand.
- Lift your dog’s paw, use your thumb to collect some warmed-up balm from your palm, and massage it into the paw pads as much as your dog allows.
For Cracked Paws: Apply 2-3 times/day
For Maintenance: Apply once/week
In Good Weather: Apply as needed
For Prevention: Apply before a walk or outdoor activity
If your dog doesn’t like their paws being touched:
1. Apply the balm to the heel of your palm.
2. Lift your dog’s leg from their wrist or hock and lower their paw into your palm.
3. Move your dog’s paw and your palm around to apply the balm. Even one quick swipe will do.
This method allows your dog to have their normal avoidant reaction while still getting some paw balm on their paw pads.
*Some ingredient separation may occur. However, this does not affect the properties or use of the product. Leaving the tin in the sun or a warm car for a little while will re-soften the product, allowing you to mix it back in. This is the beauty of a totally natural product!

We
chose it!
I love this balm because it has many uses and is made with beneficial, natural, and organic ingredients. It can be applied to any area with dry skin, including the nose, and is completely safe to lick! As there is no scent added, most dogs leave the balm alone, allowing for maximum absorption.

Why you'll love it!
Meaning your dog is less likely to lick it AND it won't irritate their nose when applying there.
As an antioxidant it helps with healing, moisture retention and can work as a skin barrier for environmental protection.
As dry skin can open the body to infection, keeping the skin smooth may prevent infection.
No messy stick application! Apply to your palm so your dog doesn't see and give them a high paw!
The ingredients are safe to apply to a range of ailments such as Hot Spots, Eczema and Dermatitis.
FAQ's
The skin on your dog's nose and paws, regardless of the colour or how much hair they have, should be smooth, soft and "closed". With no abrasive marks, greeny/yellow discolouration, bleeding, thickened areas, flaking or a fluffy appearance. Please see the image above for reference of a healthy paw pad. The same texture and appearance goes for your dog's nose!
You should apply paw balm as often as is needed to keep your dog's paw pads soft, smooth and supple. As a guide, you can apply the balm once a week for maintenance of dogs prone to dry paw pads, apply 2-3 times daily for cracked or unhealthy paw pads and for prevention you can apply paw balm before your daily walk or outing.
Paw licking can be caused by lots of things from infection, matting, pain, impaction to a lodged grass seed or self-soothing behaviour. The most important thing to do is find the root cause. In the meantime, this Nose and Paw Balm is completely safe to lick! Applying the balm before a meal, walk or training/play session can be distracting enough that they may even forget all about it!
Applying nose balm on a cracked nose can be tricky, especially when it's the first area your dog will try to lick! I start by massaging or wiping the area under the dog's eyes or in the eye folds with my thumbs, keeping some of the balm on my index fingers. Once the dog is comfortable, I do a quick wipe over their nose with my index finger and the balm and go back to massaging their eye folds. Do this a few times and not only will your dog get used to it, they may enjoy it!
It's not generally safe to apply any non-medicated products to open wounds. Your best to visit your Veterinarian to have the wound assessed and apply the balm once the wound has closed. Often, your dog will need some kind of paw balm to help finish the healing process anyway. So keep this for dry, irritated, cracked paws as opposed to oozing or bloody wounds.
