- Mix the powder really well with warm water until smooth.
- Wet the treatment area (face, legs or whole body) with warm water before application. Scoop some of the mixture into the palms of your hands and rub together to ensure the texture is smooth.
- Apply the product, dabbing it on and then wiping down their body in the direction the coat grows. Leave for 2-5 minutes, rinse, and shampoo as normal.
Pro Tip! If your main concern is tear staining, apply the product to your dog’s face first. Then, continue washing your dog’s body. By the time you finish washing and rinsing the body, the treatment will have had enough time to work. After that, you can rinse and shampoo their face as usual.

Why
We
chose it!
If you’ve ever searched for a “brightening” product for your dog, you’ve probably noticed a wide variety of options available. However, many of these products often do not disclose their full ingredient lists and may contain bleaches and artificial colours. I really like this particular product because it has a clean ingredient list and offers additional benefits for your dog’s skin and coat. With regular use and regular cleaning of any stained areas, this product naturally brightens and cleans without the use of harsh chemicals.

FAQ's
Tear staining is an accumulation of excessive tearing. When the tears oxidise they turn brown. Mouth staining is an accumulation of bacteria from saliva and food, again when it oxidises, it turns brown. It's important to regularly clean these areas, daily if needed, to not only prevent the staining from occurring but to prevent the chances of a bacterial infection. Paw or leg staining is usually from excessive licking, again food and saliva oxidise on the coat, turning brown.
Regularly cleaning areas that are prone to staining is first and foremost! Including this Brightening Mask as part of your dog's grooming routine can also help reduce the effects of the staining. As it also hydrates the coat, this helps with in between cleaning.
For dogs with staining, I recommend using this coat mask monthly before a bath. You can spot treat or use the product all over. Apply the product thicker in stained areas and just dab it over unstained areas. Remember to regularly wipe/clean any areas prone to staining with a cloth dipped in warm water. Sometimes I like to add a bit of chamomile tea to the water for its antioxidant properties and soothing scent.
As this product contains no bleaches or artificial colours, it may not completely remove staining. It is naturally designed to "brighten" as opposed to removing or dyeing stained hair. With regular wiping of areas prone to staining and by adding this to your dog's bath (at least monthly), there should be a reduction it staining. Remember, you need to get to the root cause of the staining to keep your dog truly healthy!
